Do you know how to tap?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques™)
is a simple process involving
light tapping of a few familiar
calming-down sites around the
face and upper body. You may
know these sites as significant
acupressure points. As we tap,
we name and hold in awareness
a personal issue or problem
that we want to change.
EFT
is
- A do
it-yourself way to help
you remain calm
and confident
- A highly
effective method of
resolving trauma
- A superb
technique for overcoming
fears and eliminating
phobias
- A simple way
to enhance
performance skills
- Fast acting, often within minutes
- Almost always long
lasting,
AND
- …you can learn the basics
in one single session
Are you new to EFT? Does this
all sound like cloud cuckoo
land?
Of Course!
Welcome to the sceptics club!
As an experienced counsellor,
psychotherapist, and trauma
resolution specialist, I was
sure that EFT was a ‘here
today, gone tomorrow’ pop
cure, and not something that
a regular counsellor or psychotherapist
would want to promote. I worried
that if I started this weird
tapping stuff I would lose
my good reputation, but at
the end of my first morning
of training, I knew I had to
learn more. I was seeing people
making effortless changes that
I had never witnessed before.
Now, after several years of
integrating EFT into my practice
a little at a time, I am delighted
to say that over ninety percent
of the people I work with have
used, or are using, EFT in
their lives. Most people use
EFT effectively to heal or
overcome major life issues,
hence to enrich daily life.
EFT beginners report diverse
achievements, such as calming
a fractious baby, completing
avoided tasks, improving personal
relationships, reducing compulsions
and addictions, and enjoying
previously unattainable good
health and wellbeing.
It
works for children, too. Fears, temper tantrums, bitten
fingernails, anxiety, sleeping
problems, school performance
and teenage angst can be easily
resolved or relieved with EFT.
Surprise
yourself! Try it and see.
